I started painting in portrait mode with this painting. I wanted to capture my neighbor with his cargo bike. Yet I also wanted to connect a story to it. In the Corona crisis, I wanted to put the climate crisis in the spotlight. I also wanted to do something with the next generation, but with a view to the future. The monkey represents a primate without intelligence as in humans.... Could there have been a climate crisis too? On the other hand, people have with their intelligence to tackle the climate crisis
